May 14, 2026 – In-app help, fourth splitting mode & improvements (Release 1.0.6)

Amount-based split mode: In addition to Equal, Weights, and Percentages, expenses can now use Amount. Each member receives an exact currency amount.
Setup assistant: When creating a new group, you can start a guided setup to add members, create the first list, and optionally add the first expense.
Handbook, FAQ, and support inside the app: The navigation menu now links directly to the documentation on balancico.app in the selected app language.
Dynamic version display: The version shown under “About the app” is read directly from the app package.

With multiple payers, the total amount in amount mode is calculated automatically from the payer amounts.
In amount-based cost splitting, individual shares must add up exactly to the total amount; the app clearly shows any difference.
Error messages in the “Join group” dialog are now shown completely.
Group name validation during creation has been improved.

One expense can now have multiple paying people.
Payers can be split by amount or percentage/ratio values.
Balances, member details, statistics, and exports correctly include partial payer amounts.
Settlement payments remain deliberately simple: one paying member and one receiving member.

New expenses can use the group’s default cost split.
Supported modes: Equal, Weights, and Percentages.
Default values can be stored per member.
The split can be overridden per expense.
Percentages do not have to add up to exactly 100%; balancico normalizes proportionally and calculates to cent precision.

Groups can be merged with currency checks.
For different currencies, the app guides you through target currency, exchange rate, and conversion.
Member details show expenses and settlement payments more clearly for each relevant list.
